The 3 high-performing posts this week
1. 10 red flags I look for as an angel investor
Why this post?
This post went viral, receiving 5.2k likes in 7 days. It received 65-190 more engagement and views than Josh 's posts this week.
The post is an angel investor's battle-tested checklist that cuts through startup hype with brutal honesty.
BREAKDOWN
Attention-grabbing hook: "10 red flags I look for as an angel investor” immediately hooks readers who are either seeking funding or curious about investor psychology
The credibility statement "I've invested in 50+ startups" establishes real-world expertise without being pompous
Uses numbered list format (1-10). For each point:
Bold heading that clearly states the red flag
Brief explanation of why it's problematic
Actionable insight or alternative approach
The vibrant yellow banner makes this content pop in crowded feeds.
Notice how the most powerful points hit emotional triggers for founders:
"If you're scared to get on sales calls, that's a red flag"
"If you're 'exploring ideas' or 'thinking about raising next year,' you've already lost", etc.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN POST:
Choose a narrow topic where you have actual expertise
Use a simple number-based title (5/7/10 things, tips, signs, etc.)
Start with a brief credential statement to establish authority
Format consistently with numbered points
Bold the main takeaway for each point
Keep explanations concise (1-3 sentences per point)
Use direct, simple language without jargon
Add visual elements like a banner or highlighted text
End with your handle for attribution
Include a call to action for followers

2. I'm honestly surprised that the WFH/hybrid debate is still going on
Why this post?
Another post that went viral this week—it got 1.5k likes in 2 days and performed 30-75 times better than Tracy’s other posts this week.
This post takes a refreshingly direct approach to the WFH debate with a "get over it" message.
BREAKDOWN:
Provocative hook: "When a VC-backed founder becomes a 'thought leader' right after their '9-figure exit', here's what they aren't telling you" - creates immediate intrigue
Attention-grabbing hook: “I'm honestly surprised that the WFH/hybrid debate is still going on“ expressing genuine surprise/frustration that this debate continues
Takes a firm position quickly: "employers set the terms of employment because they pay the wages"
Uses a pragmatic "market solution" framing rather than arguing morality or rights
Structures the argument in simple, clear paragraphs that build logically
Creates balance by addressing both sides: advice for employees AND employers
HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN POST:
Identify a divisive topic where you have a clear perspective
Start with a statement showing mild disbelief or frustration about the debate
State your position directly and confidently in the first paragraph
Present a balanced view that acknowledges both sides
Use simple, declarative sentences that feel like common sense
End with a conclusion that suggests moving on to more important matters
Make sure there's a clear takeaway even for those who disagree
POST IDEAS FOLLOWING THIS TEMPLATE:
The "find your passion" vs "follow the money" career advice debate needs to end
I can't believe we're still arguing about whether college is worth it
The never-ending debate about "hustle culture" misses the real point
Why are we still discussing whether entrepreneurship can be taught?
The argument about whether networking or skills matter more is completely outdated
3. This is what's keeping me up at night these days...
Why this post?
This post performed 4-10 times better than Greg's other posts this week.
The post brilliantly captures the anxious excitement of tech disruption with a clever format.
BREAKDOWN:
Opens with relatable vulnerability ("This is what's keeping me up at night") paired with sleep tracker data
Uses numbered list format for rapid-fire tech observations and predictions
Employs short, punchy statements without unnecessary jargon
Balances technical insights with accessible metaphors ("like bringing a typewriter to a macbook meeting")
Mixes mega-trends (#2 MCP protocol) with practical advice (#8 on product videos)
Creates urgency with language about transformational opportunity windows
HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN POST:
Start with a relatable human moment that connects to your expertise
Use a numbered list format (no need to stop at 10 - this post goes to 18!)
Keep each point to 2-3 sentences maximum
Mix big-picture observations with tactical insights
Use simple language to explain complex concepts
Include visual elements that reinforce your main message
Inject personality with casual phrasing and conversational tone
Don't overthink formatting - rough edges feel authentic
Use industry terms without explaining them (signals insider knowledge)
Frame observations as exciting opportunities rather than problems

Content framework that helps my clients get 30 inbound leads per month
Last year I struggled to gain traction. Today my content brings 20-30 leads monthly for my clients.
It's a simple framework I call the Content Trio.
You don't need 100 content ideas to succeed on LinkedIn.
You just need to master these 3 types:
Here's the exact framework I use:
Growth content (40% of posts)
Share specific wins and failures
Document your journey openly
Include real metrics and results
Example: How I went from 0 to 1000 followers in 60 days
Goal: Get attention.
Knowledge content (40% of posts)
Break down complex topics simply
Share actionable frameworks
Provide step-by-step processes
Example: My 3-part system for writing viral threads
Goal: Show your expertise
Authority content (20% of posts)
Showcase case studies
Share clients testimonials
Present unique perspectives
Example: Why most LinkedIn advice is wrong
Goal: Generate leads
Key principles that make this work:
Consistency matters more than perfection
Write from experience, not theory
Focus on solving specific problems
Build genuine connections through comments
Test different formats and analyze results
The real secret? Balance.
Too much growth content looks like bragging. Too much knowledge content feels impersonal. Too much authority content seems arrogant.
But when you blend all three? That's when magic happens.
What I learned after 12 months: The best content educates, inspires, and creates meaningful discussions.
What type of content resonates most with your audience?
