Reminder: a company isn't a family
Why this post?
This post went viral, receiving 10k likes in 5 days. It received 6-50 more engagement and views than Reno's posts this month.
BREAKDOWN:
Powerful foundation: Uses Adam Grant's insightful quote about companies not being families, which immediately establishes credibility and sets up a strong argument against a common workplace misconception.
Strategic expansion: Takes the core message and builds on it by offering a better alternative (community vs. family), making it constructive rather than just critical. Then strengthens it with practical, actionable bullet points.
Clear solutions: Lists 5 specific workplace characteristics (foster connections, respect boundaries, etc.) that provide real value and actionable takeaways. Each point is concise and universally applicable.
HOW TO CREATE YOUR OWN POST:
Framework:
Find relevant quote/insight that resonates with your audience
Add your perspective in 2-3 sentences
Break down your main point into 4-6 bullet points
Close with question/invitation for engagement
Writing Tips:
Keep paragraphs short (1-3 sentences)
Use simple, direct language
Include bullet points for better readability
Start each bullet with action words
End with open-ended question to encourage discussion

My LinkedIn strategy for 2025
My LinkedIn strategy for 2025 is dead simple.
No fancy frameworks. Just 5 practical things that work:
I use the 3-2-1 content mix weekly
The 3-2-1 content mix
3 'behind-the-scenes' posts showing real work. Example: Screenshot of my messy content calendar with notes on what failed.
2 'work-in-progress' posts about current projects. Example: Testing 3 different LinkedIn post formats, here are the early results.
1 learning post sharing mistakes. Example: I wasted $2K on wrong AI tools last month, here's what I learned.
I add one specific example to every post.
Instead of: "AI helps with content creation"
I write: "Yesterday, I used Claude to analyze 50 competitor posts in 10 minutes and found our content was too formal compared to others"
I steal from my inbox and comments
Every time someone DMs me a question, I turn it into content. These questions are gold – they show exactly what my audience struggles with.
I do "content sprints".
I write 5-6 posts in one sitting when I'm in the flow. Then I don't touch LinkedIn for 3-4 days. Quality is better when I batch create.
Write for one person, not the algorithm.
Instead of "Dear LinkedIn family" posts, I write as if I'm emailing my friend Alex, a startup founder struggling with lead generation. This keeps my content focused and genuine.
Bonus tip: I keep a "swipe file" in my phone. Whenever I see good content, I add it to PostHero and add one note: "Why did this catch my attention?"
